8. DOE Hypothesis Testing

Hypothesis Testing techniques like the T test and Z test are available for Panmo CONFAB users to compare response variables across two DOEs. In this section we will explain the following Hypothesis Testing methods, for a specified significance p value determined ahead of running the experiments.

Type & Kind

T-test

Z-test

One side

> or < p

> or < p

Two sided

8.1. Hypothesis Testing Procedure

  • Step 1

Figure : select first DOE of pair to compare

8.2. Step 2

Pick the second of two DOEs and the response variables to compare.

8.3. Step 3

Pick the Hypothesis testing method - either a T test of Z test

8.4. Step 4

Hit Run Test and compare results.

Figure : we can see the relationship with the two DOEs being same or significantly different.

8.5. Step 5

Optionally save the results of Hypothesis Tests.
